However, in the top of the eighth inning, the MoonDogs managed to break the deadlock when Nico Libed was walked with the bases loaded, allowing Matthew Fleischhacker to score the lone run of the game. Despite a valiant effort in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hot Tots were unable to muster a comeback, falling short by a single run.
Offensively, Minot struggled to find their rhythm at the plate, going 5-for-31 with two errors as a team. Jaden Alberson stood out with a 2-for-3 performance, while Anthony Potestio, Xavier Esquer, and Adrian Dominguez each contributed a hit.
