La Liga giant Barcelona star Rafinha could be temporarily shipped out of the Camp Nou in a suggested loan deal to Real Betis, another Spanish club. The rumors take place while the star has been left out of the club’s squad set to face Real Valladolid for ahead of a league match on Saturday.
Rafinha, 25, is a product of the clubs famous La Masia academy. His brother, Thiago Alcântara also attended the academy, which produced wonders like Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta.
Alcântara, now playing for the German side Bayern Munich, was signed for €25 million in 2013. The Brazilian is also rumored to be in a prospective deal with the club’s age-old rival Real Madrid.
Although making the first team appearance in 2011, the Brazilian, Rafinha has not been consistently in the first team, making only 80 appearances for the club.
He has been on a loan spell for two times in the last seven years, last time into the Serie-A side Inter Milan. According to a claim made by Sport, soon it could be his third spell out of the club.
The midfielder was left out of the squad that will travel to the Estadio José Zorrilla stadium on Saturday. The loan deal is supposed to be a
season long.
Real Betis are looking desperately for a replacement of Fabián Ruiz Peña, who has joined S.S.C. Napoli. They are said to be sealing the deal before 31 August, when the transfer window closes.
Barca, who are looking forward to balancing their books after some huge summer signings like Malcolm, Arthur, and Arturo Vidal are looking to cash in by selling some players or making a loan deal. 30-year-old Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic can also be in a prospective deal with the Parisian side PSG.
