As we head into the week, Chief Meteorologist Corbin Voges provides us with a detailed forecast for the upcoming days in the Panhandle Spirit. With normal high temperatures around 88 degrees and normal lows around 62 degrees, we can expect some pleasant weather ahead.

Starting with Monday night, the forecast calls for mainly clear skies and cool temperatures. The low is expected to drop to 55 degrees with an east wind of 5-15 mph. Tuesday brings mainly sunny skies and pleasant conditions with a high of 83 degrees and a light south-southeast wind of 0-10 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly clear and cool with a low of 59 degrees and a south wind of 5-15 mph.

Moving on to Wednesday, we can expect mostly sunny skies and seasonal temperatures with a high of 86 degrees and a southwest wind of 5-15 mph. The extended discussion provided by Chief Meteorologist Corbin Voges indicates a gradual warming trend throughout the week. Morning lows will dip into the 50s, giving us a taste of fall in the early hours of the day.

A weak front is expected to arrive on Thursday afternoon and evening, bringing a brief drop in temperatures and some cloud cover. While a few weak thunderstorms may be possible behind the front, the coverage is not expected to be significant, and no severe storms are anticipated at this time. Friday will see slightly cooler temperatures before a ridge of high pressure builds back in, warming us up next week.

Despite the potential for temperatures to reach the lower 90s, Chief Meteorologist Corbin Voges assures us that this is still a welcome change from the hotter weather experienced in August. The ridge of high pressure will likely keep us dry for a while, with any storms struggling to make their way into the Panhandle Spirit due to weak flow aloft.
