Dance enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness the talent of Ailey II, a renowned dance company celebrating its 50th year of showcasing emerging choreographers and early-career dance talent. Choreographer Hervé Koubi’s internationally acclaimed dance company will also make its Penn State debut with a theatrical dance piece that uses explosive movement to metaphorically retrace Koubi’s family history.
For fans of acrobatic cirque shows, “Slam!” presented by Ex Machina and Cirque Flip Fabrique promises to be a thrilling spectacle that takes on the world of arena wrestling with a unique blend of acrobatics and theater. Meanwhile, Circa will reimagine Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” with their production of “Duck Pond,” combining aerials, acrobatics, and humor in a fresh interpretation of the classic ballet.
