Legal troubles are mounting for the developer of the Future Legends Sports Complex, located on a 100-acre Diamond Valley Sports Complex. The Owlz even had to cancel a game in 2023 due to a lack of lighting in the stadium, which remains unfinished.
Windsor officials have clarified that the town does not have a business relationship with Future Legends owner Jeff Katofsky. However, they do have an agreement with the complex to run some of its recreation programs. Windsor town manager Shane Hale expressed optimism about the project but acknowledged the ongoing challenges and uncertainties surrounding it.
The Future Legends Complex, initially known as the Rocky Mountain Sports Park and later renamed Future Legends, was an ambitious project that began in 2017.
